Sorry for the error. Polished surfaces are low emissivity surfaces.
The polished aluminum surface of the removable module has an emissivity possibly as low as 0.05, whereas Saab's flat black surface has an approximate emissivity of 0.95
The polished surface acts to prevent absorption of heat, also acts to prevent radiation of heat away from module.
The fins will help heat transfer away from the module (assuming it is hotter than its surroundings, otherwise it works in reverse) and the polished surface will help prevent absorption of external heat gain.
Thanks for the correction. I used to know this stuff forwards and backwards - too many years away from the classroom.
