If you watch the DTE gauge you'll probably notice that the biggest drop is around 1/3 to 1/4 tank. Typically, I lose about 100km over and above the distance travelled or, said another way, the DTE goes down almost 2km for every 1km travelled in that range of the tank. Not sure why, but I have precious little else to do (other than analyze my gas milage)on my 100km trip to and from work.
