I also noticed an increase in oil consumption after doing the PCV modifications (Year 2000 Aero). I now use about 1 litre per 1000 miles compared with very little oil consumption before the modification. I might try to re-connect the small hose (with the PCV valve) back onto the camshaft cover (rarther than the oil filler pipe) and see if this makes any difference.

Does anyone know what was the reason for SAAB to re-route the PCV hose from the camshaft cover to the oil filler?
