Panoz racing schools have Track Days and there will be one the weekend of 10/9 - 10. They fill up fast, so there may not be any spots available to run, but you can watch.

There have been more than one car flat towed out of there because the driver got in over his/her head. I've heard about a WRX and a Porsche Boxster that lost it at the bottom of the 'S' before turn 5 and smacked the wall. An NSX and a Corvette that hit the wall coming out of 7. You'll be able to see some of that action when you are at the skid pad and autocross course. These two areas are located between turns 6 & 7.
