Hesitation on 01 9-5 Saab Aero

Hi,
I purchased a used 9-5 wagon a few months ago. An 01 Aero (automatic) with 41k miles. The car is really great, handles well, good power, and very well laid out inside. An excellent value, I am pretty impressed as I have owned Audis and Porsches and I feel that Saab makes a good sports sedan. I am especially impressed by its handling abilities considering it is a wagon. It drives like a pretty small car when cornering but it has quite a big ass! What a nice combination between fun and practicality.
Well, onto my problem. I have 5k miles left on the warranty. When driving at a steady speed (foot steadily on the gas), say 70mph, the car started hesitating and then throttling. This is subtle but what it feels like is as if the gas is momentarily not getting to the engine, and then it comes back normally. The hesitation only lasts a second and then you feel the throttle resume. This "feeling" happened sporadically for about a week and now it is gone. I am concerned that this could be a serious problem. Anyone ever heard or experienced this?
It did occur to me that this could be a bad tank of gas problem, but I just want to make sure before the car goes out of warranty.
Thanks
