I have a 2000 9-5 Aero with the 4 speed auto. I started to notice latley a strange noise when the car was shifting from first to second, and sometimes from second to third. It is like a racheting noise, very subtle, but there. It seems more prominent when the car is cold, not like winter time cold, but when you first start the car. It had it at the dealer for it's 15,000 mile oil change, and they could not get the car to do it. The funny thing is that they had given me a new 2001 9-5 2.3LPT Wagon to drive. This car had only 10 miles on it, and it made the same noise! (By the way, the new 15 hp in the regular 2.3 engine is definitely noticeable. This was a very nice car)

Am I just imagining things, or had anyone else noticed this? It doesn't seem to be affecting the shifting, or the performance, it is just odd sounding.

Any guesses anyone?
