Here you go...not so hands down for me... I had a Passport 8500 that got stolen when I went in for service (dealer took care of it BTW). I had used a Passport/Escort for 10 years prior, but when reimbursed I thought I would spend an extra $100 and get the Valentine One. Overall I like the V1 better, but only marginally. Both are good. The Valentine One directional arrows are very helpful and the logics mode is nice. I still get falses from Chevy Trailblazer taillights on the laser band with the V1. It does have good range when placed in the right spot.
So I am not so hands down. I do own and operate the V1, but life would be just as well with the Passport 8500 in my opinion for $100 less. I would not buying any of the others (I have had BEL before as well). My only knowledge in this area is from someone who has owned many detectors and heavily relies on one daily:)
Once you go for it below is my install instructions for the V1 which I installed in my Viggen. This is an easy install and having owned a 9-5 aero know this same procedure works for the 9-5.
