My wife's '96 900S (that we picked up at the factory in Sweden) still had the original brakes when we sold it at 98,500+ miles. When the Saab dealer checked them at the last oil change they still had 30-40% life. That car had a 5-speed manual and I'm convinced a manual minimizes brake wear due to engine slowing and downshifting to stop. My wife also had a 30 mile one-way commute on the highway so that helps. Of course our two current 95 Aeros have the automatic tranny so it will be interesting to see the difference.
