Interested to know how the Ultragrips are since I have to get a winter wheel/tire set soon. I have the WRs on a Chevy and they have been fantastic in the dry/rain. A sort if extreme all-season.
Would the Ultragrips wear very quickly if run as an all-season? What is the load/speed/wear rating for the Ultragrips included in the Saab package? Which wheel is it? BBS Seven-Spoke 6.5 X 16, PN 02-51-199? Wish Saab offered a 225/50R16 package as well. I just don’t see deep snow where the narrower tire provides benefit. Most of the time, the roads are bone dry, free of rain/snow/ice.
Anyone know about the Hankook W300? I think both the Ultragrips and the Hankook may be too winter oriented for the NY metro area.
If I go the Ronal route any suggestion as to the wheel type. I think R7 or R28. Is 5 spokes on the R7 enough to withstand the potholes? Anyone have these and have a picture or comment?
