A little bit of fuel can produce quite a bit of smell inside the cabin. Give it a day or so. If it doesn't go away, then you probably have a leak somewhere. If you want to, I don't see any reason not to take the access cover off and look at the top of the tank to see if there's any fuel leaking there. However, I haven't looked at the geometry of the access panel so someone else may have some better info than I have about that.
If the smell doesn't go away or you see leaking when you remove the access cover, take it back to the dealer and ask them to fix it.
