At least if the Tire Rack customer reviews are accurate. I just retired a set of Pilot Sport A/S from my 2002 Aero and also had trouble with them getting noisy as they wore down. All tires tend to develop more noise as they wear, but I was also disappointed in the Michelins due to their original price,over $200 per tire mounted and balanced. I just got delivery today of a new set of Goodyear F-1 GS-D3 tires in a 225/45/YR17 and they were 160 per tire, and Goodyear has a 75 dollar rebate on till Nov 27. Works out to about 150 a corner with shipping. I'm having them mounted up this Saturday, but will not put them on the car till after our winter season here, so am also gambling on this, but the only category that these tires did not score well on is snow performance, and they are specifically NOT a winter use tire. Might be worth taking a look at .
