yeah...I definitely want to avoid the wireless FM transmitting route. I dont really live near any major cities, but I do occasionally travel through them. Although I hear good things about hardwiring the FM modulator on here, but it does require getting in the dash to do this.
I just have a hard time trusting any shop to mess around back there.
SAAB's are finicky enough as it is with their electronics, and not many audio guys out there have experience with saabs in the first place.

I figure with the plug and play route, yeah I deal with a few wires hanging here and there, but the sound quaility should still be top notch I would think and I could pull it out myself and plug it in at home too anytime I want to.
Plus it sounds like the antenna can sit near the windshield too, so I wouldn't have to deal with running any wires through the car.

I'm just looking for anything at this point to upgrade the single player HK system.

I orginally wanted a 6disc CD changer, but like most others, can't justify the ridiculous price for such a primitive piece of equipment.

Satallite radio would still be cheaper to install and subscribe to for a year at the very least, and I think its more rewarding overall compared to a changer.
I wont have to deal with CD's period anymore if I do this.

The cassette adapters seem to work with mp3 players, would XM/Sirius also?
