I love driving my '01 SE wagon. Coming up on 39K, somewhat troublesome miles. Most annoying was the inordinate amount of times I had to have the dealership try to diagnose two problems. The first was a clunk from the left front. After trying lots of things and over a number of times it turned out to be the wheel bearing, that I had diagnosed long before. The second was the CEL coming on and staying on, then going off and cycling on and off. After several times of bringing it in and doing various things, they finally ended up upgrading the software and so far that seems to have solved it. They did not replace the DI. Both times the shop foreman drove the car home overnight. I wasn't thrilled with this, it wasn't far, but I wanted the problems resolved.
As I said I enjoy driving it, but the vehicle has been in the shop way too much. In a few months the origianl warranty will expire, I am going to have to decide whether I get an extended warranty or move it on. I am not thrilled with what GM is doing to Saab, along with my service experience, more than likely I will not replace it with another Saab.
