It didn't have the turbo and it ran on regular gas but it was certainly quick and responsive, especially off the line. Most of that was due to the lighter weight of the car and the gearing and high stall speed torque converter. My wife would beat my 9-3 off the line with it but I would soon pass her.
My point is that the V6 has nice throttle response and has potential even without the turbo. That being said; when she switched to Saab from Saturn the only 9-5 that was faster than the Saturn was the Aero. The Aero feels like a small V8 except when idling.
