Saab used to offer better deals than the competition. My lease is coming up in the next few months and I have been pricing the 9-5 as well as the 9-3. I understand Saab is a premium brand and sells for a Premium price minus a discount which is better than the competetition by the $1000's but when it comes to leasing, the TL or the ES330 or even a Maxima price much much better or comparable to the Saabs. Their residuals are much higher, and their monthly payments are similiar to the Saabs. Throw in a much better dealer network as fars as numbers and leasing these cars make it a little more compelling.
I love my 9-5, but like you and many others I had some little issues. Nothing biggie, but they have been there. My lease is coming due, and my choices at Saab are justn ot there. The 9-5 is basically the same car I have been leasing for the past 4 years. They have done a great job with the 9-3, but everything seems to be an options, whereas the on the TL, G35, or an ES330 they are standard. Indeed, I agree with you that the confort of the 9-5 Cannot be beat. I am still deciding as to what to do. I might buy my car at the end of the lease but I ma not sure if that makes nay sense at all. I could buy for $15,000 or $16,000. But after three years, it will be worth $3000 to $5000. It brings the point of leasing why not take my $400 a month payment and get into a new car.
