I periodically come through this board but apparently not often enough. I have a '00 Aero on the verge of a 60k service and really don't know anything about all this PCV stuff (nor the possibility of a blown engine??)

As far as I know, I have never had this mod done (although I do service my car meticulously via oil changes every 5k w/full synth at the dealer).

I'm not much of a DIY guy, but love this car and plan on keeping it, well, indefinitely. Do I need to demand this service be done? This is crazy stuff.

If anyone could help catch me up (however redundant this post may be) I'd really appreciate it.
