The reason for a switch is to temporary connect two wires to make a circuit. When this circuit is complete then the light should come on. Just take a screwdriver (w/rubber or plasic handle) and touch the two (I think) wires together.

'91 900S

PS-My '91 passenger side door does not illuminate the light, but the driver's side does. I need to take out the switch on the pass. side and check it out.
