Just like other 900Ts, it depends on how well the previous owner took care of it.

The '89 SPG that I got a year-and-a-half ago (99k miles) had reasonable care taken of it, but I have replaced normal wear items: CV boots and joints, front motor mount, heater valve, seals, ball joints, vacuum hoses, etc. It was bought for the PO by his 'rents when he got into Law School so, as you can well imagine, it got some rough driving from that young man. From the sound of the transmission, I'm looking at replacing or rebuilding it sometime in the next few years. Other than that, it was in good shape.

On the other hand, my '88 SPG (died with it's boots on at 86k miles) had a good transmission and engine, and only needed a wheel bearing, a headliner and, I just found out, an A/C relay. It was originally owned by a lady who didn't have the depleted uranium foot that a lot of us who own SPGs have.

It's a tossup. Some SPGs are beaten to within an inch of their lives (I've looked at 3 of those - poor things) and others are babied.
