Strange tranny problem

Transmission in reverse, backing up without letting clutch all the way out,push clutch in and it feels like the car wants to lundge foward or is caught between gears and stalls the engine.As for what is in the trans for oil, I don't know as I just bought it.Too bad to turn this car into parts as the body is in real nice shape and you can hardly hear the motor running.I don't think the car would actually go foward, I think it feels more like it is caught between gears. I saw something in the archives about the folks who race these cars and use solid engine mounts and one person said something when a mount breaks,the car will change gears or tries to ??????
