Thanks all for posting your ideas! I ended up useing JohnK's idea. Seemed to go quite well. Popped the boot off, cleaned, sprayed like he!!, dryed, 12 min of high heat, and then pumped new grease all over it again. There was quite a bit of dirt/sand on the outside of the joint.

While I was heating though, I heard this ~POP~. At first I stopped the hairdryer glanced around and continued. After heating I got up, and there was some sorta oil all over the upper pass. side of the engine bay. I thought at first I had melted a pressured line. Soon figured out it was power steering fluid. What happended was during the heating process, the p/s fluid expanded and I guess pressurized in the bottle. There is a little hole in the lid and it must have squirted out.

Just for future ref. watch the level of the p/s. It MAY overflow or in my case EXPLOED!

This morn, the joint seemed just fine. Directly after the fix, I was very surprised how "loose and quick" the steering was with the car on.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!! You all just saved me $200+!!!
