We can saaume that the antitheft safty plug is ot of the shifter housing as not to block access to the pin that has to be pushed down while the key is turned to the first position to allow the lock pin to move inward so the lock cylinder can be extracted. BUT being there is no key, forces you into removing the whole shifter housing and useing a small puch and brute force to drive the pin into the cylinder so you can pull it out. If you had the key ....you could insert a large paper clip and pull that boy right out.
You have a job on your hands or you going to be paying a Tech around 3 hours labor. I have got luckey before by screwing a slap hammer with a screw on the end of it into the cylinder and slammed it out! I got luckey as it could have broken the housing around it. It didnt though. I blew it out with compressed air, stuck a gob of Synthetic grease in the hole, stuck the key in the replacement cylinder turned it one notch and plugged it right in :-)
