hi,

I’ve seen those short shifters you’ve been praising, somewhere out there on the web; can you tell me who does them; how easy are they to fit or how long a dealer would take?

Is there any other tricks/maintainence for getting the smoothest shift; 1st to 2nd always requires a bit more force, but as you go up the shifting becomes much smoother; what would it take to get the precision and smoothness of shift that you might expect from a $60,000 car (say a porche).

I also have an auto transmission 900; in terms of pure aesthetic value (the shifter functions just fine) does anyone know of anything other than the standard oem shifter? do auto SPG’s come with anything special (leather perhaps), or maybe something from a 9000 (they always max out on the executive treatment)?
