how did you figure ideally 150 psi at 9.25 ???

there is no easy way to calculate it, because intake does not close untill well into the compression stroke, and you don't know the heat story. If you ignore the loss of stroke, and assume standard ambient cond'ns:

1) if heat of compression is fully lost to metal parts (it isn't) then the absolute pressure is 9.25 x 14.7 or 136 psi, which is 121 psi on the gage.

3) if no heat is lost to the pistons or cyl walls, then the peak air temp is 535 degF, and pressure is 255 psi absolute, or 240 psi on gage.

the truth value is between 1 and 2, reduced for true effective stroke. The best number is based on experience with the engine, with the same test gage.

only rule of thumb is closer together is good, within 5 psi is great.
