Hey there... I have been wondering what I am going to do here..
I have kenwood 5-1/4's(pretty nice models) in the doors (the holes were already there when i bought it so...) and blaupunkt 6x9's on the rear deck (they came with the car) and I just hooked up my brand new Blaupunkt casablanca last night.. it sounds great already.
I dont have anything in the dash yet. I have a set of infinity kappa 4"'s (really nice) that I had planned to put in the dash with a seperate sony amp. Do you think this will be overkill? the stereo imaging now is pretty good but sounds a little off since the speakers are right on the doors. I wonder if i should not put the speakers up front or just put a set of tweeters somewhere instead? I am even thinking about e-baying my set of Rockford Fosgate 12"s and Qlogic box because I get nice bass from the speakers I have already. Its not quite as low but I kind if like having room in the boot :)
Maybe a single 12" sub would do the trick and still leave some space back there. I bought the dual 12"s while in high school, taking things a little too far...
Anyway, let me know what you think about the front speakers..
