My '85 900SPG had Falkens when I got it used. They didn't LOOK all that worn, but the first week I had the car, it snowed. I tried to climb a minor hill, but the car slowed to a stop (despite a foot on the gas), and slid backwards back down the hill.
I immediately got the fronts replaced (Sears carried them -- they installed one backwards, too). The very next snow, highway traffic was stopped on a curve. I had never noticed the mild banking before... until the rear end broke loose sideways while I was stopped.
When I finally got rid of them, they had such awful wear patterns that I kept the Hakka's on through the summer rather than reinstall the Falkens.
