Pulling a gun in a situation like that is exceedingly dangerous. It had better be life of death. What I meant was it is usually enough to just reach into your inside jacket pocket for a pen and note pad(for insurance info). While doing that, your jacket just barely reveals the holster. No threating action, just a little nonverbal communication that you will only be pushed so far. You have every right(at least here in SC) to protect yourself if one of these punks approaches to physically assault you(regardless of whether they are showing off, or not). Otherwise just back off and let the police handle verbal assault.
