I know this because I work for MBZ; one of the guys in the shop has one that’s pushing over a 1,000,000 Miles (no joke). Those German Diesel are about as reliable as a motor can get. It may not be the fastest accelerating ride around, but its damm comfy to cruise around in or to hit the freeways in. If you haven’t driven a Benz yet, do so. They float through the tightest corners with ease, and can take just about any bend (freeway etc) at speeds well over 100MPH with out sweating it.
This is something that I have noticed all the MB Tech’s I've met drive/own a diesel. Why? Because they run forever, and are cheep to fix when they do break. Also a Benz is probably one of the safest cars you can drive, I know I sent one into the back of a Semi at 65MPH and I walked away unscathed, well except for a bruised ego. Try that in a Honda and you wouldn’t fair that well, probably worm food.
Been driving MBZ, Volvos, and Saabs from day one.
