Since the car will be your "best friend" at this job, I would check all fluids religiously and maybe on the early side of intervals.

The good thing is that it being a saab, will never overheat so you can let it idle at each door or whenever you are going to be in one place for less than 10-15 minutes.

Here are a few of my habits that have proven successful with my 85 spg.

1. Time traffic lights so you don't have to stop. Try to coast out of gear whenever possible.

2. Don't downshift to aid stopping. Just use the brakes. They're cheaper.
3. Get out of 1st gear ASAP.
4. When shifting, don't take your foot completely off the gas.
By practicing this, you'll find where you can match the clutch to the
gears very smoothly. This serves two purposes:

a. lengthens tranny and clutch life
b. prevents jerking action which shifts cheese back and
forth which eventually ends up on the inside of the
upper lid of the pizza box. Otherwise your tip is
sacraficed.
5. Keep a bottle of power steering, brake and motor oils in the car.

Depending on you area, you might try a pair of binoculars for locating small numbered adresses

Lastly, make sure your emergency brake holds like glue. You'll be working that thing pretty hard.

That's all i can think of off the top of my head.

Carry on..
