Pressures????? Oils???

I'm going to take the car back later this morning. From what I've been able to learn, Freeze-12 is mostly R-134 (80%), which operates at higher pressure than R-12. If he filled my system with Freeze-12 to R-12 specs, it's overcharged and could be causing overload on the compressor.

Does anyone (please say yes) know the spec high and low side pressures? It should be easy for them to hook up the gauges and see pressures. I can quickly determine if overcharging is the problem. I know that the pressures are dependent upon ambient temperature. Also will depend on the RPM of the compressor. Can someone please give me any idea what they should be? It's 90degF+ here in Houston. I have my thermodynamic tables ready, but I don't know the state the A/C is supposed to cool to!

Also there was no oil added. I've read that R-12 oil won't mix properly with Freeze-12, even though Freeze-12 is marketed as not needing lube change. Compressor ends up getting starved and seizes. Should I have the guy put a 134 oil in?

Or, finally, would it be prudent for me to cut my losses, take it to another shop, tell them what happened, have them suck everything out, and recharge w/ fresh R-12?

Really appreciate your help on this one guys.
