Only tip the can upside down when hooked to the port that runs to the condensor. Compressors don't like compressing liquids. With the car under vacuum, tip a can or 2 upside down into the high side/condensor port. Then jump the clutch or pressure switch and suc a couple cans into the lowside/evap port. Charge until low side is 1.8 bar if it is hot outside (1.6 bar if it is below 75F) and 20.8 on the high side. Car should be running at 1500 rpm during the performance test.
Never charge on the high side with the a/c running.
Sytem pressure = 250psi and Can Pressure = 50-60 psi. Your can could blow up. That will hurt. Charge on low side only with A/C running. Sytem pressure = 28 psi and this will allow the refrigerent to be "sucked" into the system. Warm the can as the can cools and sweats, this will raise the pressure inside allowing faster filling. Also try shaking the can.
