Still, don't give up. It sounds like you are just running a tad lean.
What about the temp sensor? I did a search and could not find the spec for the resistor to add in line, but why not put a 0-1000ohm potentiometer in series and gradually turn it up until you are just running rich enough. I think the spec was a few hundred ohms, but you might not need that much.
Also you might try tweaking your AMM. Your AMM should have an adjustment screw under a plug that you can fiddle with. Since you don't have an O2 sensor, why don't you just try twisting the adjusting screw a little at a time (not sure if in or out is richer). mark your starting point. You want to adjust to increase the voltage on the wire that goes to the ECU, so you can also take a base voltage reading at the back of the plug(engine running, plug attached) to keep track of progress.

Ooh, I just thought of something else. Get out a propane torch and check for air leaks around the o-rings of your injectors. If leaks, idle should increase if gas(no flame!) applied to injector bases. Could be a simple fix! While your at it, go over all plumbing downstream of AMM to check for leaks with a torch. Do these leak tests first, before you compensate your whole system for existing leaks!!
