Any tips for installing the lower turbo oil supply tube?

I spent about 3.5 hours trying to get the damn thing in (finished head gasket repair, re-assembling). The bolt holes were off by about .000000001mm and the bolt wold not go in straight. I finally had to unbolt the entire manifold and drop it down an inch to get the bolts on, but in one of my previous fits of rage, I had thrown the tube at my deck and the o-ring that fits on the engine-block side came off. I can't find it, guess Ill take it off the parts car. Doh.

So I'm just wondering if it is standard procedure to unbolt the manifold the get that tube on.
