Ed;
I agree with the advice offered so far, and would like to add a little detail. I have the stock radio, with the SAAB/Clarion tools for pulling the radio out. Even with the correct tools inserted, it has become necessary to pull on the radio itself (by hooking my fingers into the cassette opening) to get it out. If I try to pull on the tools only, they just pull out alone. Originally I could remove the radio simply by inserting the tools and pulling on them, but after some wear, I need to pull on the radio while the tools are installed. Also note: your radio may have a security code that you'll need to enter after reinstalling the radio - hope you have that code if you're planning to reuse the radio.
Good luck;
Charles
