Do a search for Ari through the archives, he's been dispensing invalualble knowledge about the entire ABS system for me and others with ABS problems. Mine happens when I'm stuck in traffic in hot weather and the pump overheats and quits working, giving you about 15 pumps on the brakes before the lack of pressure from the pump screws up the braking system and they turn to mush. The other possible culprit is the pressure switch and my shop quoted me $350 for it. They've been working great since I got the system flushed the last time and had all the other obvious parts replaced, rotors, pads and stainless lines. But you could need to get it flushed again, 15 months is not too short of a time period, you should be doing it yearly anyway to prevent these exact problems from happening. Try the flush first and I bet it helps out quite a bit.
