Clicking APC Solenoid

So a couple weeks ago the solenoid mounted above the radiator began clicking intermittently. You can hear it at idle, and driving at slow speeds. The clicking stops when you apply the brakes. I still get full boost. It is rather hit or miss as to when it will click. I checked the solenoid itself (jumpering it to battery) and it appears to operate fine. I checked the connection at the APC box and it was loose (metal locking tab not engaged). This seemed to help for about 5 minutes :) The other day, I turned the key to "on" to listen to the radio, and I could hear the solenoid clicking, without the motor running at all.
I did a search on this BB and learned that it could be either a bad pressure transducer, or simply poor connections at the APC and the knock sensor. Other responses were interference from coil, bad plug wires and general interference from ignition system.
Before I go tearing down my dash to access the pressure transducer, are the symptoms described above (particulaly, the clicking heard with motor off) more likely due to poor electrical connections, or a pressure transducer going bad.
TIA for any advice.
