Ok, I put new spark plugs in the 88 900S today, got it running, yet with a HORRIBLE noise coming from under the hood. I get out, and the exhaust is very white and thick. I shut off the car, and figured that the motor was bad, so I'd start to tear into it. Right inside the motor where the timing chain is, I look down and see a big hunk of aluminum floating around loosley. It has a part number on it, and a screw hole, but no screw! What is up with this? I fished it out, and it has a part number on it and it is broken from something larger, and it's really mangled up. Looks like a guide of some sort. The timing chain seemed a little slack, is that normal? Please tell me that I can save this motor without too much of a hassel. There is a photo and a link to the other photo. TIA, Matt
