I visited the web site for the electric pump retrofit. Looks fine except for one little catch. Removing the old pump could be fatal to the engine if it is not removed "very carefully". This means that you MUST use the proper type puller for the pump else you will damage the teeth at the base of the impeller shaft and possibly damage the internal drive shaft teeth to the pump shaft. The proper puller will rotate the pump shaft as it pulls up. This rotation is necessary to "rotate" the gear at the base of the shaft free from the internal drive shaft gear.
Don't use a slide hammer technique to lift the pump!!
My message here is that you won't be able to install the electric you bought if you can't first remove the old pump.
Anybody out there know of a supplier for a puller?
