1986 900T, 200k miles. I tweaked the APC earlier this year, and the turbo spooled up nice and fast, into the red (I also have those Big Fat Pipes). Lately, it's been pretty sluggish, though, and noisy. Ok, it's been noisy for years, but now I'm wondering if it needs to be replaced (it has 127k miles on it). Or, could the catalytic be starting to get clogged after 15 years and 200k miles?

Oddly, the APC solenoid clicks for a second or two after I turn off the headlights (probably bad ground), but since the boost is pretty stable, I'm assuming that's not the cause for the lag.

If it's the turbo, are there replacement ones that spool up faster? Maximum boost isn't as much of a concern for me as lag.
