One subject which has not been discussed very much here is the use, installation and opinions of CBs. Recently the idea of having one in my car has been growing. I am mainly looking for one to go in the lower din slot or one that would mount nicely in the car out of the way. As for the antenna, I was thinking of a removable one, just to use on the longer trips like upwards of 2hrs.

From what I've been told, they can be quite useful in the early detection of cops and road hazards ahead. Also they can be quite entertaining as well as a nice lifesaver when in areas where your cell can't get a good signal.

So, if anyone here as any good info on the operation benefits/disadvantges, prices, installation, requirements, WHATEVER!! Just post it up, so there can hopefully be some good info on the board!! :-)
