I just completed over 1500 miles of driving on my new Bridgestone Blizzak M50 snow tires. These tires hold up well against other brands such as Hakkas, Kliebers, etc.

Much of the driving was done up in the snowy mountains of Quebec and Northern Vermont to and from the ski slopes (Mt Tremblant is excellent!). For 5 or 6 days the tires barely touched the pavement through the snow and ice covered roads. The tires performed excellently on snow and pretty well on ice (studs would help here, but I did not want studs). These tires are grippy.

I am not as happy on the dry as there is a bit of a mushy feeling due the very soft compound used in the rubber. However, road noise at speed 70-80 MPH is quite acceptable, and, despite the mushy feeling the tires perform well enough.

Purchased the tires mounted, balanced on new steel wheels from Tire Rack. Also got the plastic wheel covers which mimic the alloy wheel (not too bad looking for a $6 plastic item). The kit for the 4 snows, etc. was about $525 including shipping. Mounted the tires myself.

Do have a small problem. Minor wheel rubbing on large bumps when fully loaded (2 adults, plus luggage, or 4 adults). No problems with wheel rub when I am alone in car. Perhaps due to weak springs (shocks are good). Car is 12 years old with 90K mi. Tire size is 185/65/15. Overall I am pleased despite the rubbing. Dont want to replace springs yet.

Any suggestions?
