Had some very helpful suggestions as to the fault on my driver`s window, and as the switch was the likely culprit started by dissembling the window/sunroof housing to check the contacts. Bit of a pain getting it apart, but succeeded - each window motor has it`s own relay (`92 car),and though they weren`t too bad cleaned up the points.
On replacing, both were dead and the roof motor would open, but not close the roof!
Tried the emergency mini-crank on the motor, only to unwind the extension to the motor shaft (LH thread).
Eventually powered the motor directly with leads to return it.
I assume I`ve damaged some of the electronic components - have split open housing again, and everything seems to be sat where it should.
Any ideas or is it now time for a new switch housing AND a door motor?
