The slave cylinder blew out on my 92 900 leaving me a hoofing it.
The service manual makes clutch replacement procedure seem fairly straight forward if you have all the really neat "Special" tools. My first problem seems to be how to compress the pressure plate fingers to install the special tool to gain clearance for removal since I have lost hydraulic pressure.Several post's that I have read have advised on trying to re-vitalize the hydraulic system long enough to get the tool inslalled to cutting the slave in half for removal.Has anyone used the Special pry-bar 83 94 033. It appears to hook and then pivot off of the pressure plate to compress the fingers so the spacer tool can be installed. It can also be used to remove the clutch input shaft.Does this tool work well or are there other less costly options. Another task that seems difficult is replacing the rear main crank seal without damage any good tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks JK
