The AC fan wiring for the 85 would have been normally black/white. White (+)lead, would have connected into plug just below fan at bottom of radiator. From there it would have gone to AC radiator fan relay in fuse box, relay socket pin 87. The fan black wire would have gone to the same connector at base of radiator but would have connected to the car body (-).
