I am both on and off the gas while the car is in gear. There are lots of steep hills in Duluth MN where I live so when I coast down them in second gear it is expecially noticeable. I open my door and listen near the bottum af the car and it is definetly comming from the trans. Goes away when I have the clutch in, there is no load on the tranny. There is a sort of flutter sound that goes away when I push the clutch in while stationary, is that what you are talking about. The car only has 88K miles, kind of beat up when I bought it- needed head gasket, motor mount, ball joints and a few other minor items. Don't know if it sat for a long period of time?
