Well I have been thinking of adding some driving lights to the front of Saabit. I have the factory Bosch ones which are mounted below the bumper in the inside position, closer together. After looking at eeuroparts.com I think I may opt for the fog light and driving light assemblies. I thought of keeping the factory fogs, but they would not match the driving lights well. My plan is to fabricate or find some used fog light brakets for the bumper and install them on the outside mounts, near the edges. I would keep the fogs in the inside position where they are mounted, just replace them with the matching fogs.
The only thing I am not sure of is the wiring, I would keep the fog wiring the same, but am not totally sure how to tie the driving lights in as well. I have installed many sets on other cars with an independant switch...but I would like to have the driving ones function with/like the fogs. I also need to find out whether the package comes with a switch or I'll just have to find another in a boneyard. I'm thinking, that I can get a simple relay and tie it in with the contant power of the headlights, but have the switched power lead running off the driving switch. I'm not totally sure how the fogs are wired (Bentley here I come...) but does this sound like a reasonable thing?
How are the Hella lights that they offer?
Thanks very much!
