DKW engines and some mechanicals, later cars used Ford engines, the 99's used Triumph engines and trannies, the 9000 was a joint venture w/ Lancia, and finally the NG 900 was a re-worked (GM) Opel Vectra.
Very small companies like SAAB rarely are "pure".
