I've successfully bled the clutch MC a number of times, but I do it in a way that's not often mentioned. I connect a plastic tube to a funnel and secure it up above the level of the fluid reserve tank and attach the other end to the slave bleed nipple. Then I fill the tube completely with fluid and open the bleed screw. Oftentimes air bubbles will be seen to rise from just opening the screw, but especially when you slowly depress the pedal. With the pedal depressed completely and the air bubbles well on their way up the tube, I slowly release the pedal, which sucks air free fluid back into the clutch system. That proceedure pretty much takes care of air on the slave end. To bleed the MC end, I do it differently - first by closing the slave end bleed screw, then pressing the pedal slowly to the floor, holding it there with the stick, then opening the slave bleed screw (with the fluid filled tube still attached) and slowly release the pedal. Doing it that way pulls any air from out of the MC up through the fluid tank while not introducing any additional air at the slave end. You can repeat that process many times, being sure to replentish the fluid via the suspended funnel/tube. It's worked like a charm every time.
