Sounds like the T.O. bearing. Have you bled the system lateley, although I don't think this is the culprit. If it is the T.O. bearing, you might as well do the whole 9 yards-clutch and all. Parts are around 200 or less. A shop will charge you 3-4hrs max-40 bucks to machine flywheel if needed. 4 if you have the rear main seal done. It does'nt take them this long, this is just what they will tell you. Some shops will not do the job if you have your own parts. If you do it yourself, 5 hours to full day max. You have to make a tool or buy one to compress the pressure plate-same goes with pressing in(tapping) the rear main seal in. Do a search and you will find plenty of info on how to do this. It's not that hard.
You can also just drive it down to an indy and have them listen to the sound. They will tell you what it is.
