Or the distributor plug? I would double check all of the connectors before trying to run it much. I don't think it's a good idea to keep running it with some wires apparently shorted together. I sometimes get water in the cap/rotor and have to remove it to wipe the water out. with the current heatwave the water will probably evaporate by itself in a few hours.
