I was checking my timing, but forgot to unplug vaccum hoose to vaccum advance, so I unplugged it, engine running, and... no change in idle. Ah § , suck on the hoose, idle fluctuated, so vaccum actuator is Ok. connected a vaccum meter to the nipple at the throttle body, and...No Vaccum. Nipple is not plugged, I can blow throught it.So I guess it is normal. So why manuals tell to disconnect this vaccum hose to check timing ?
Maybe the nipple opens before the throttle plate ( where there is no vaccum at idle), and when you open throttle palte, then there is vaccum before...A guess ( that means that timing is advenced under heavy decceleration, before closing of throttle plate, but not at idle ).( my EGR system is vaccum operated, the nipple for it is just next to the timing nipple, on the left. When you suck this hose leading to EGR valve, idle drops alot. so it's not possible to have vaccum there at idle ).

BTM question
What do you guys with BTM have for timing advance at idle ?

Jolts at high speed follow up ( old post ):
plugs, cables ( magnecor ), distibutor cap & rotor are new. So it can be bad AMM. It coud also explain not so good idle, check engine light coming on as a flash when i turn the key on & at upshifts.

Thanks for all help, past, present & future. And sorry for my poor english.
